Dubai, Monday November 21st 2016 – Swiss Haute Horlogerie brand Audemars Piguet concludes its incredible golfing year highlighted by two Major victories, courtesy of its brand ambassadors Danny Willett and Henrik Stenson. First of all the vibrant Englishman prevailed at The Masters in Augusta last April, then the Super Swede triumphed in July at The Open in Scotland in record-setting fashion! Their consistency all year elevated them to respectively 2nd and 1st place in the 2016 Race to Dubai, the end of the European Tour season, on Sunday November 20th in Dubai.

Both gentlemen have been spotted wearing the specially-made white ceramic Royal Oak Offshore Dream Team Chronograph with blue dial, blue rubber strap and blue ceramic crown and pushpieces. Henrik Stenson notably sported it whilst lifting his Claret Jug (The Open trophy’s official name) and decided to auction it in the coming days to benefit his Foundation.

Following a thrilling week of golfing action coinciding with the Dubai Watch Week where mechanical watches savoir-faire was showcased, Audemars Piguet captured the best of both worlds in Dubai. For the 3rd consecutive year, it staged its Golf Invitational at the Els Club, with the participation of several professional golfers amongst its unique Dream Team of golf ambassadors.

Watch collectors flying from all over the world to participate in the Audemars Piguet Golf Invitational were treated to a three-day entertaining program, including playing with some of the most exciting names in professional golf. Among them, world number 4 Henrik Stenson, Major winner and Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke, former world number 1 Lee Westwood, South Africa’s golfing gem Branden Grace and Italian teenage sensation Renato Paratore, have been spotted hitting each other’s picture in a fun direct elimination challenge before sharing a round with the privileged guests, who were also joined by golf’s new cult-figure Andrew “Beef” Johnston and Thai golfing legend Thongchai Jaidee.

Through dedication and hard work, these sportsmen have constantly achieved the highest results and they perfectly embody Audemars Piguet’s philosophy “To break the rules, you must first master them”. Bearing witness to its unfailing attachment to golf, Audemars Piguet has chosen to focus on this passion by effectively building one of the world’s finest team of golfers. Byeong Hun An, Keegan Bradley, Paul Dunne, Emiliano Grillo, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Romain Langasque, Ian Poulter, Andy Sullivan, Peter Uihlein, and Bernd Wiesberger compose the rest of the Audemars Piguet Golf Dream Team.
